September news from Lexical Lab
Hello again -
We're guessing that for most of you, September has been a rather hectic month. It's the start of a new school year, which is always both exciting and stressful for teachers and students alike. It always takes a week or two for things to settle down and for everyone to get back into the swing of things.
The last few weeks have been a bit of a shock to the system for us as well. We returned from our holidays at the end of August and went straight back onto another exciting writing project that we're looking forward to being able to tell you more about in the coming months.
Hugh also visited a few cities in Switzerland, worked with plenty of folk who've been using our books and spoke at the SATE and ETASconferences. The following week he was then filming some videos for Polish teachers in Warsaw and talking at the wonderful annual Poland IATEFL conference in Wroclaw again.
As well as all of that, we've set up a new Instagram account that we're busy experimenting with. To see the daily photos and videos we post, follow us here. In addition, we've started making a series of regular one-minute videos on YouTube. These cover different aspects of spoken English and we hope you find something useful there. Feel free to share them with anyone who you think may enjoy them.
As if that wasn't enough, we've also managed to keep up the regular posts on our main website. The most-viewed post of the last month was this rather lovely piece about the benefits of ageing and learning to accept change and the unexpected.
We've already put details of our summer courses for 2019 up on site - and will also be announcing not one, but two extra surprise courses in the next few weeks as well! You can see what's on offer so far here - and remember: if you pay before the 1stof February 2019, you'll receive a 10% discount.
Oh, one other piece of news is the fact that the high-school series we worked on with National Geographic Learning, Perspectives, has been nominated for an English-Speaking Union English Language award. Fingers crossed!
October is looking like a quieter month, thank God, and there's no travel in the diary until Hugh heads off to Kaliningrad and then Moscow right near the end of the month. Hope it also proves to be a bit calmer for all of you!
Thanks as ever for all your support - and remember, we're always keen to hear from you.
All the best,
Hugh & Andrew |
